The November General Membership meeting will be taking place at Gentile Brewing Co. in Beverly on November 6 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Pizza and soft drinks will be served and a cash bar will be available. The board will have a brief meeting from 6:30 – 7:00. Members are welcome to all events.

It is also time to solicit candidates for the upcoming elections for the 2018 Board of Directors. If you’ve ever wanted to be more involved with the day to day running (pun totally intended) of the Wicked Running Club, this is your chance. There are 9 positions available on the Board (BOD). They are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Director, Clothing Director, and 3 Member at Large positions. Complete descriptions of all the duties and responsibilities of each position can be found here.

Part of  your job description will be that you are expected to attend monthly BOD meetings (usually the first Monday of every month), fulfill the duties of your office (duties vary with position), and attend and assist at club events, such as the summer BBQ, winter banquet, and club races. You need also be available to answer questions about the club when talking to current, new, or potential members, and generally act as a representative of our club.

If you have any questions or interest, please email the current VP, TR. Nominations are due by October 29. Please include a short introductory statement (bio, what you hope to accomplish, what you will bring to the club) which will be published on our webpage for review. All candidates should plan to attend the November General Membership meeting and read their statements to those in attendance.

After the November General Membership meeting, an online election ballot will then be sent out to all members of the club. Results will be posted and the newly elected will take office on Jan 1st, 2018.

This club is only as great as our members make it and we’d love to see YOU on our board in 2018.
